Yearbook Changes: Wendy Shaw’s new e-mail is wlcfaith@hotmail.com  Doris Lum would like to add her cell phone number, as she’s more likely to be reached there: 281-543-1036. Also, the telephone company handling her e-mail account changed its name, requiring all subscribers to change e-mail addresses. While they will still forward messages until June, let’s put the new one in now: vdlum@consolidated.net Larisa Chernis has changed her phone number again—after last month’s change. It’s now 713-589-2602.

Nominations to be Announced: The nominating committee, Linda Anthony, Becky May and Janice VanDerbur, have met and have a slate of officers they will propose at the March meeting. The slate will be published in the April newsletter, and additional nominations (with the previous consent of the nominee) will be in order from the floor at the April meeting. Also, the Member-at-Large is to be nominated from the floor at the April meeting and added to the slate, which is then voted upon. Those elected will be sworn in at the May Luncheon.

Attention Provisional Members: In an effort to enforce the requirement that provisional members take the necessary steps to become active members within two years of their joining, mentors have been assigned to each one to help them toward that goal. It has been discovered that there is a mistake on page 3 of the Constitution and By-Laws. Under “Prerequisite for Active membership,” A. states “attending at least 6 general meetings of the Association each year.” This should read “...4 general meetings...” to be in agreement with Standing Rule #1 on page 69. It will be corrected in the next printing of the yearbook.
