You will not be able to check with them for any verification. Student Affiliate Enrollment: I am pleased to report that electronic enrollment was a success. We had 32 teachers enroll 524 students, and I’m sure we will be adding more students to that list as the year progresses. On that note, let me tell you the procedure for adding late enrollments. Download the form at our website: www.ccmta.org Click on Students>>Entry Forms>>Student Affiliate Registration. List any students you want to add, and send the form and a check (made out to CCMTA) for $14 per student to my mailing address, which is listed in the yearbook. There will be no more enrollments by e-mail until next year. Megan Ring at the state office has asked that I wait to send in late enrollments until I have several to send. Our treasurer also thinks this is a good idea so she does not have to be writing checks every week for Student Affiliate enrollments! Because we will not be having any other student affiliate events until after Christmas, I will send in the next enrollments on December 14th. Put it on your reminder calendar now! Thank you for making this process a success and for paying attention to the deadlines listed in your yearbook and the newsletters. Sincerely, Wendy Wells, SA Membership Chairman Ensemble Changes: At the September meeting, the ensemble entry fee was increased to $15. Also the entry deadline was moved from the January meeting to the November meeting. Please change those dates on the Calendar-at-a-Glance and the main CCMTA Calendar. The audition (tryout) date has been set for December 1st at a location to be announced. Furthermore. . . A very sweet note from long-time member Martha Jane Gardiner was read at our September meeting, explaining that although for health reasons she has been unable to attend meetings for some time and has given up teaching, she continues to renew her membership and follow vicariously the activities at CCMTA. What a nice tribute to the organization and our members! Thank you so much, and we wish you the very best. |
