Thank you. Wendy Wells, SA Membership Chairman Publication Contest: Several CCMTA teachers have winners in the TMTA Publication Contest each year. If you have not entered students in this event before, I would like to encourage you to consider trying it. The list of topics is in the CCMTA yearbook. To get a feel for what it takes to win, you can read last year's winning entries, which are printed in the Fall 2007 TMTA magazine on pages 22-25. Students need a good grasp of the subject matter and must also be good at creative writing, choosing an entertaining way to present facts. Winning entries tend to grab the reader's attention with the first sentence and hold it all the way to the end. Entries are due on January 15, 2008.
