Student Affiliate Membership
Chairman: Wendy Wells 281-251-4362
Purpose: To provide for the student a wider musical experience than is usually afforded in private music study, with recognition for achievement in various phases of musical education and activity.
Age: First grade through age 26.
Dues Deadline: September meeting (see calendar)
Dues: $13.00 per student (after deadline, add $1 per student)
In order to participate in any events through CCMTA, students must have SA membership.
In order to participate in any TMTA-SA events through CCMTA (with the exception of ensemble), students must have SA membership through CCMTA. If a student has SA membership through another association, that student must pay our local dues ($6.00) in order to participate in any non-TMTA-SA event.
Application:
For Teachers who had student members in 2006/2007:
The CCMTA SA enrollment form will be emailed from the state office in the form of a Microsoft Excel File Attachment. Teachers without email need to contact Wendy to complete their enrollment. Please follow this procedure:
1) Open the file
2) Indicate which students are returning by entering their current grade level in the 2007/2008 column.
PLEASE NOTE – do not change their grade level in the 2006/2007 column.
3) Make note of any home schooled students or exceptions in the appropriate columns.
4) Add new students to the bottom of the list by grade level in alphabetical order.
5) Check for correct spelling on all names. This is the biggest source of problems with record keeping at the state level.
6) Save the file on your computer and email the file to
wendywells@earthlink.net. Also send one check made out to CCMTA-SA to Wendy by the deadline.

Please put names in alphabetical order and check your spelling of these names carefully. Return the form and one check payable to CCMTA-SA to Wendy by the deadline.
Theory Test: When a student enters a TMTA event that requires passing the State Theory Test, that test must be taken through CCMTA. The only exception is ensemble.
Special Note: Only one check for all of the teacher’s students is to be submitted and is to be made payable to CCMTA-SA. Submit check and completed form to the Student Affiliate Membership Chairman.
