Spring Festival

No tennis shoes, no jeans, no flip flops.
Girls: conservative dresses, skirts and blouses, pant suits.
Boys: slacks, dress shirts, ties optional.
Exception: Recital Artistry students may dress in costume.

RA = Recital Artistry: Fee: $8.00 per student. Format: Students are scheduled in small groups to perform 1 or 2 solos or duets in relaxed atmosphere for an audience of family and friends. Memorization is not required. There is no written critique or judge. Teachers complete and submit to the chairman a Recital Artistry Form. In lieu of proper attire, students may dress in costume.

CC = Critic's Corner: Fee: $12.00 per student. Format: Students are scheduled in small groups to perform 1 or 2 solos or duets. The performances are critiqued by a judge. Family and friends are welcome in the audience. Memorization is encouraged but not required. Teachers indicate whether the music is memorized or not memorized on the student's Critique Sheets. Teachers complete and submit to the chairman a Critique Sheet FOR EACH SELECTION to be performed. Performances may not exceed 10 minutes.

M = Masterclass: Fee: $20.00. Proficiency Requirement: Student must have achieved at least an intermediate level of proficiency. Format: Each student will be given 20 minutes for performance and instruction will have prepared one piece by memory.

January 15, 2008: Submission of the Registration Form and Fees to the Chairman.
January 29, 2008: Submission of the following forms to the Chairman:

RA = Recital Artistry - Recital Artistry Form
CC = Critic's Corner - For EACH SELECTION submit a Critique Sheet
       (for example, 2 selections = 2 Critique Sheets)
M = Masterclass - Master Class Selection Sheet
