TMTA-SA Performance Contest

Fee:

$20 (local) $25 for Adult Category
$40 (district) Students advancing to the district contest should pay this fee immediately following the local contest.


Categories:

Orchestral instruments - includes classical guitar (local, district, and state)
    Solo - grades 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, Post 12th
    Concerto - grades 9-12, Post 12th

Vocal Solo (local, district, and state)
    grades 9-10, 11-12, Post 12th

Organ (local,  and state)
    grades 9-10, 11-12 Post 12th

Piano (local, district, and state)
   Solo - grades 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, Post 12th
   Concerto - grades 9-10, 11-12, Post 12th

Adults (local only)
   Only for Critique, not for competition. Entry fee for Adults is $25


Requirements: Requirements are detailed and specific. Please refer to your TMTA-SA Handbook and any materials mailed to you from District or State. Compliance with the TMTA rules is the sole responsibility of the student and his/her teacher. CCMTA is not responsible for the failure to comply with any rules by any student or teacher.

Awards: Top entrants as listed in TMTA-SA Handbook will advance to compete for cash awards and trophies.

Application: Application forms are available in this yearbook or at tmta.org. Complete and return forms P2, P2a and TMTA Photo Release Form. Read carefully the instructions under SELECTIONS TO BE PERFORMED on form P2a. Include copies of music and signatures as required. Include a 2X3 photo of the student. Incorrect applications will be returned.

Winners Perform: Winners are required to perform on Sunday, May 4, 2008 at the May Awards Ceremony. State winners are required to perform at winners concerts listed in TMTA-SA Handbook

District Contest: Saturday, March 8, 2008 at Baylor University in Waco
