CCMTA Grants-In-Aid and Scholarship Programs (MUSIC THERAPY)
This was formulated in November of 1982 and is for the purpose of assisting in the field of music education as therapy. If you know of any individual or institution that qualifies for this type of assistance, please inform the chairman.
Purpose: CCMTA, believing that music has benefits for mankind far beyond its entertainment value, has set aside $400 a year, with the option to increase or decrease said amount depending upon current interest rates, to help support those individuals and/or institutions who are working in music education as therapy, or who have established programs of music therapy.
Eligibility: Individuals, private schools (elementary, middle, secondary, and collegiate), special education facilities, hospitals, convalescent centers, and church related programs which concentrate on music as therapy.
